The Sentai Company's original permanent magnet torque controller [CHT series] has two characteristics: "high reliability torque controller performance" and "almost no wear." Unlike friction-type clutches and brakes, the torque in the CHT series is transmitted by magnetic force. Permanent magnets are fixed between two bases. The shaft is fixed to the hysteresis plate. Through the permanent magnets in the base, the hysteresis plate generates an opposing resistance. This resistance results in the rise of torque. The angle of the permanent magnets allows for torque control. It is equipped with an excellent overload device on the driven parts.
